Speaking on

Courage and Influence

Do you want to create an experience that continues to impact and grow the people who attend your event long after it has finished?
Giving people tools and inspiration to help build their courage to do hard things, fight for their dreams, and against their fears can be life-altering.
Inspiring women to break personal barriers and become leaders, women of influence who build businesses, careers, ministries, and the people in their lives is the heartbeat of who I am and what I do.
Building courage and influence helps women as they become involved in changing the world around them. This is truly a noble challenge and is only accomplished with intention, focus, and discipline.
Let's build on these simple but important steps together!

"Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened."

Billy Graham

COURAGE STACKING:
THE ART OF DOING HARD THINGS

Sometimes, it takes something extra to stand firm, especially when it feels like you might be standing alone.

When the Holy Spirit convicts you to speak the Truth of God's Word into a situation, you may find yourself resisting the urge to blend in. You know that to do so, you’ll need the courage to be "different," to "swim upstream" against the currents of loved ones, societal norms, or even to take on the role of a rebel in this context.

God provides the COURAGE we need. He builds our courage when we step out in faith and trust the outcomes to Him. But how do you begin?

In this talk, woven with inspirational stories, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify the Truth about where you currently stand. What are you wrestling with, and what fear is holding you back?

  • Understand Your Why: Who or what is more important than your fear? What is at stake if you don't summon the courage and give in to fear?

  • Create a Game Plan: Start thinking through and planning your steps to create forward momentum, so you can "run the mile you’re in."

IT TAKES COURAGE TO BE A PERSON OF INFLUENCE:
LISTEN. LEARN. ENCOURAGE.

You are a person of influence—a leader—whether or not you realize it, want it, or accept it.

Just as you influence others, you are also influenced by people and their stories. It’s essential to choose your influencers wisely. We must consistently develop intentional habits that shape our influence and leadership. And we must make wise choices about who and what we follow—the influencers and influences in our lives.

This takes COURAGE.

This talk will empower you to identify and build relationships with influencers—people of integrity who live by godly virtues.

You’ll learn how to "see" others more clearly, listen with your heart, and connect meaningfully with people. You’ll also discover how to stay in the "lane" of an encourager, positively impacting those you influence.

Stepping into a role where your words and actions shape others isn’t easy. It requires strength, conviction, and the willingness to stand firm in your values, even when it’s challenging.

Influence is a powerful tool. Receiving it with discernment and using it wisely demands courage.

Three Key Takeaways:

  1. Recognize the Importance of Influence: Understand that who and what you are influenced by matters—choose wise influencers to lead in wise ways.

  2. Influencing in the Moment: Develop the courage to listen, observe, and connect with others meaningfully.

  3. Create an Intentional Game Plan: Prepare to be both influenced and influential as a leader called to make a difference.

"Kathleen visited our school to share her wisdom and encouragement with our Christian families. The parents who attended her talk were blessed beyond measure! Kathleen was warm, professional, and organized. She set a lovely table to greet her attendees which helped them to feel welcomed and expected. It really is the first impression that is so important! Kathleen shared her own personal journal with vulnerability sprinkled with humor. She then encouraged the moms (and dads) in attendance to "stay the Christian course" as difficult as that may seem in today's culture. Kathleen utilized scripture, love, and motherly wisdom all throughout her presentation. The families of Bethany Christian School are wiser for having heard from Kathleen! Thank you greatly!" Julie Shannon, Head of School, Bethany Christian School
